Hoping this year is going to be much better.......Hoping to cut back a few hours at work and get back into my crafts and creating....I NEED that badly, my mojo is lost somewhere and I need to get it back.

How you want it to be

Whatever you genuinely expect is what you will express with your words, your actions and your life. Whatever you expect without question, you’re already working to create, even when you don’t realize you’re doing it.

Worry is a powerful form of negative expectation. Repeated worrying creates the reality of what you’re so worried about, and that’s certainly not what you want.

Yet it is just as possible, and just as powerful, to truly expect the best. If you can envision reasons for worry, you can also envision reasons to be confident about more positive expectations.

Put the power of your expectations to work in a positive and enriching way. Tell your life how you want it to be by expecting the best of it in every moment and in every situation.

Truly expect to get it done, and those very expectations will lead you to find a way. Instead of fighting against your worries, be pushed forward by the very real and powerful expectations of the positive life you intend to live.

The future has not happened yet, so make sure that when it does happen it will be to your liking. Know that you can expect the best, and then get busy making it so.

Yet another Surgery

is upon me........don't have all the details yet, but will have to have a hysterectomy. I guess God is trying to tell me something becasue I am not getting any closer to getting better and back to work. I am trying to stay positive, its hard, I had a meltdown yesterday....am doing better today...week 11 of being laid up and its getting s old..and have no clue how much longer it is going to be....jsut trying to take it one day at a time now.............

Good News/Bad News

BAD NEWS
Surgery next Friday...not sure what time yet but I am sad..but the CT scan wasn't pretty there is a big piece of bone separated from my tibia.........so it has to be fixed..ha was glad he did the scan because he was surprised at just how separated it was

so I guess its surgery #2 in less than two months he said it should be outpatient...so we will see

GOOD NEWS:
I have lost 15..YES 15lbs since the last gall bladder check up..I told him I was having a hard time eating just about anything...he did give me some meds to help maybe soak up some of the bile in my tummy, so maybe I can eat a little more.....I'm lucky to eat one small meal a day now

There are always areas of our lives that need it. But basically..are you happy with who you
are right now...and why or why not? Do you have things to be thankful for? (You should because we all do!)
Make a list of those things that make you happy. then a list of things that you are not happy with.
which list is longer? Post this list somewhere where you can see it everyday..be thankful for the things
that make you happy and work daily on the things you are not happy with. A change will come before you know it!!
we all have the power to change our attitudes and design our own happiness.

ATTITUDE

Changing your attitude is everything. The way we perceive things has everything to do with the way
our lives play out.
Do you get up in the morning dreading the day...or do you get up thankful for yet another day
to make it right.
Do you let other peoples bad attitudes affect you? Or do you make a conscious effort to let it roll off your back?
changing our attitude towards certain things will help us learn to be happy with everyday life.
We should not dread getting up in the morning, going to work or going about our daily life.

Ask yourself the following:

What are some of the things I dread when I face my day?
What are so bad about those things?
What is one thing you can do right now to change the way you feel about those things?

Always be honest with yourself when you answer questions...its one step to getting closer to changing
the way you perceive things.

Its a freeing experience when you can look at life with a GREAT attitude!!!!!!!!

Finally A Project Completed !!!!!

This is for my craft group card challenge We just

started doing one a month!! since it has been so long since I have done a lot I was happy with the way it turned out :O)

Wellll.......

Today I find out if I get my cast or get to have surgery...am really hoping for the cast...surgery will just put me out of commission for a few more weeks, and I would really just love to get back to life!!

Well...it has been one week since this whole ankle thing started....and it feels like its been month's. Guess I am not a very good patient!! I am also not good at relying on other people to take care of me, normally I am the caregiver..lol
So I just keep hanging in there and getting a little more positive every day

I am starting an altered book project today..I will try to share photos along the way....have tons of ideas and hoping I can transfer those to the book :O)

My Broken Bone Adventure

So I thought maybe I would do an update daily on me and my adventures...or no adventures since I am stuck in this chair till who knows when...doc says 2-3 months I will be off work...ugh is what I say!! I broke the two main bones in my ankle ( tibula and fibula)( sp) and I have to say it is very very painful..also have a very small hairline fracture ( barely visible on the x-ray) on the inside of one of the other bones..but he said that was not a concern.
I got my pain meds regulated today so I know how to space them so the pain stays pretty much at bay. They have me taking Vicodin and ibuprofen. They said I could take them together...BUT tried that and made me very sick..so I space them and alternate..seems to work! I can tell that the swelling has gone down a little more so that is a bonus!! I go Tuesday for another set of x-rays..then as long as I don't need surgery it will be a hard cast for 6 weeks........praying for NO surgery!!

so far that's my story and I'm sticking to it LOL

When it rains,,..it pours!!!!

So..........
three weeks in to having my gall bladder surgery...ready to go back to work...guess someone else has other plans.....fell yesterday and broke my ankle in 2 places! My first broken bone ever! Crutches suck and fearing I may have to have surgery! More time off work and I am not looking forward to it! I guess sometimes life really isn't fair!!!

TGIF!!!!!

It's Friday!! AND the sun is shining! About a 50% chance of rain...but hey that's ok, for now its gorgeous outside....Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! I am finally back to work on Sunday after 4 weeks..I am sooo ready for it!!

Can't believe how much better I am feeling!! I know I can't lift, and have to be careful bending..but am feeling so good!!! Hoping to finish up a few projects today that I can post!!!

The Sun Is Shining........

and it has turned to to be a beautiful day, had a rough morning, but am feeling so much better this afternoon. And I even got a few things accomplished this afternoon :O)

Life or something like it....

I think I am ready to go stir crazy.....
This surgery has really made me slow down and it is a hard thing to get used to when you are so used to going practically 24/7!! I did manage to get a few projects done in the last few days...and it looks like they will even be on time..that's almost scary for me!!!! Today I think I will work on my craft room a little, it still needs some organizing...and I may as well get it done while I am not working.
Funny how we always want time off work..but when we get it, we are searching for things to do! I guess when you are used to working 10+ hours a day, and then you are forced to "sit" and do nothing for two weeks..well it takes its toll!!!
doctors appointment on Friday so I can see how much longer I will be off!!!
